The visual delights of the world are largely created for eyes that aren't amblyopic (i.e. astigmatic), and, consequently, in this world there are thousands of eyes that just ignore everything right back. Eyes that float like dead men, uninterested in anything and unnerving to everyone because an unfocused eye is a creepy eye (traditionally). Well maybe they'd just rather focus on something more interesting than bad movies. Or this plane of existence. Throughout history, billions upon billions of eyes calibrated for a different planet.
The harmony in the left speaker asks a question: 'are you sick?' (Are <i>you</i> sick of this world that's so painfully boring you can't even focus on it?)
Treatments for astigmatism involve, effectively, wearing 2D glasses in order to 'exercise' the lazy eye: see this website (fffff.at/fuck-3d/), from which my co-writer (who has <del>worse</del> better astigmatism than me) and I obtained one of the lines.
lyrics
“never wear 3d glasses”
Lyrics by Comfort Cat and Caden Lovelace
Are you sick of the 3rd dimension?
We got glasses for that
you won't get headaches because you have astigmatism
and cannot benefit like the able-visioned benefit
from terrible movies
Are you sick of the 3rd dimension?
download here: this is the only way
you can't just not wear glasses at a 3D movie
or everything will be blurry
and you will waste so much money
and you will waste so much money
and you will waste so much money
and you will have a terrible time
Are you sick of the 3rd dimension?
Download here: this is not a con
don't let them tell you that the world is 3d anyway
'you don't need glasses for that'
Are you sick of the 3rd dimension?
Download here: this is not a con
don't let them tell you that the world is 3d anyway
the earth is round but yours can be flat
Are you sick of the 3rd dimension?
Are you sick of the 3rd dimension?
Are you sick of the 3rd dimension?
You will have a terrible time
